Version terms-2026-10-22
1. About these terms
These terms cover using my3dhive.com. By using 3Dhive or signing in, you agree to them. 3Dhive is run by [Operator's legal name and street address: to be added before payments start] ("3Dhive", "we").
Other terms also apply where they say so:
- Privacy: what we collect, who handles it and how long we keep it.
- Food-contact terms: for cookie cutters, stamps and cake toppers made for use with food. Buyers and maker shops tick them for those items.
- Printer Panel Terms: for maker shops that install the Printer Panel app. The app shows them before you link a printer.
- Seller Terms: maker shops accept these before their first sale. They are being written.
Most pages linked here are still behind the private-preview PIN. Email support@my3dhive.com for a copy of any of them.
2. What 3Dhive is
3Dhive is a marketplace. You order 3D prints, and independent maker shops near you print them and hand them over or ship them. Maker shops are independent sellers. They aren't 3Dhive's employees or agents.
3Dhive runs the site, takes payment at checkout, passes each order to the shop that makes it, pays the shop, and handles support.
3. Who can use 3Dhive
- 3Dhive isn't for children under 13.
- To run a maker shop and use the Printer Panel, you must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live.
- 3Dhive ships within the US only.
- Give true details, and keep them up to date.
4. Your account
- You sign in with Google. It's the only way to sign in.
- You need an account to buy, to sell, and to download designs.
- Keep your Google account secure. What happens under your 3Dhive account is your responsibility, unless it's our fault.
5. Buying
- Price: you pay the total shown at checkout, including shipping and any tax shown. There's no extra buyer fee.
- Payment: you pay on Stripe's checkout page. Your payment (a card, Cash App Pay, or your bank through Link) is held when you order, not charged. Each shop has 48 hours to accept its part. You're charged only for the parts shops accept, and the rest of the hold is released.
- Pickup and shipping: for pickup, you show the maker shop your 6-digit pickup code. Shipped orders go to US addresses only. See Pickup and shipping.
- If something's wrong: a print that arrives broken, misprinted or not like the listing is covered by the Reprint Promise. See Returns and reprints for what's covered and how to report it.
- Food-contact items are sold only under the food-contact terms. Other items aren't made for use with food.
- Your own files: if you upload a 3D file to print, you must have the right to have it printed, and it must not be on the not-allowed list. The shop that accepts it gets the file to print your order.
6. Selling as a maker shop
- You run your shop: your hours, your prices on your own listings, and which orders you accept. You can pause at any time.
- Accept or decline each order in time. Check every print before it leaves you. Hand it over with the buyer's pickup code, or ship it with tracking.
- Keep messages and payments inside 3Dhive.
- Follow the Printer Panel Terms when you use the app, and the Seller Terms once they're published.
- Print files sent for an order are only for printing that order. Don't keep, share, sell or reprint them.
- You're responsible for your own taxes, business licenses, permits and insurance.
- Fees and payouts are on How we pay maker shops. Payouts go through Stripe and are subject to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
- 3Dhive may pause or remove a shop or a printer for safety or quality reasons, or for breaking these terms.
7. What's not allowed, and designs
The list on Trust and safety applies to everything sold, uploaded or printed on 3Dhive. It includes weapons and weapon parts, copies of other people's designs, characters or brands without permission, counterfeits, hateful, harassing or adult content, items sold as medical devices or safety equipment, and anything illegal where it's made or where it's going.
- Designs belong to the people who made them. Maker shops only print what they're allowed to print.
- When you upload photos, designs or models for a listing, you keep what you own. You let 3Dhive store and show them, and pass them to shops, to run your listings and orders.
- Think your work is being used without permission? Report it, or email support@my3dhive.com.
- We review new designs and uploads, and remove what breaks these rules. Serious or repeated breaches close the account.
8. Make your own
Make your own isn't switched on yet. When it is:
- An AI model designs a printable model from your description, building it in Autodesk Fusion. Check the 3D preview before you order: it may not be exactly what you meant.
- The design belongs to you, the person who asked for it. You may print it and sell prints of it through 3Dhive. You let 3Dhive store, show and print it.
- Don't ask for anything on the not-allowed list, or for copies of other people's designs, characters or brands. Requests are checked automatically and may be refused.
- A design may be reused for someone else who types the same description. Don't put names or other personal details in a description.
- Downloading a design needs an account.
- Credits and plans aren't on sale yet. Their terms, including refunds and expiry, will be published before they are.
9. Messages and fair use
- Be respectful in messages and reviews. No harassment.
- Pay only through 3Dhive's checkout. 3Dhive never asks you to pay outside it.
- Email addresses and phone numbers in order messages are hidden.
- Don't try to get around the site's limits or security, or use 3Dhive to break the law.
10. The private preview
3Dhive is in a private preview. Features may change, pause or stop. Real payments haven't started, and some features (payouts, email, Make your own) aren't switched on yet. During the preview the site is provided "as is".
11. Limits on our responsibility
- Maker shops make the prints. 3Dhive's help when an order goes wrong is the Reprint Promise on Returns and reprints.
- To the extent the law allows, 3Dhive isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses or lost profits.
- To the extent the law allows, 3Dhive's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid through 3Dhive in the 3 months before the claim. For a maker shop, it's the greater of $100 or the fees 3Dhive earned from your orders in those 3 months.
- Nothing here limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer that can't be waived.
12. Ending your account
- You can stop using 3Dhive at any time. To delete your account, use Delete account in your account menu, under Account details. If you can't sign in, email support@my3dhive.com from your account's email address.
- An account is deleted once its open orders are finished and, for a maker shop, its last payout has gone. Deleting removes your name, contact details and shop; your orders, earnings and payouts stay for 7 years for tax and payment records, shown as "Deleted account". Data deletion says what is removed and what is kept, and for how long.
- 3Dhive may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the rules on Trust and safety, or for safety or legal reasons. We'll tell you when we can.
13. Disputes and the law
If something goes wrong, contact support@my3dhive.com first, so we can try to fix it. These terms are governed by the laws of [State: to be added with the legal entity].
14. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we post the new version here with a new date and version ID. If you keep using 3Dhive after a change, the new version applies. This interim version will be replaced by the full terms reviewed by a lawyer before real payments start.
